Unihealth-Southwoods Hospital and Medical Center, which is committed in improving the health of the people in the South, is turning four this Saturday, November 17, 2018.

To celebrate, several activities are scheduled for the week: free lay fora on Antibiotic Awareness and Tuberculosis and employee contests such as corporate video-making and The Voice. The highlight is USHMC’s annual medical mission, the time of the year when founding members and consultants alike volunteer to provide free check-ups not only to medically underserved communities, but also to health-conscious residents of Biñan and San Pedro, Laguna. Last year, about 250 check-ups were conducted, free of charge.

This coming Saturday, from 8:00 to 12:00 noon, the hospital’s admin staff and the Nursing Service Department, together with the volunteer doctors, are poised again to give back to the community through the medical mission.
